Owner/Principal Designer

Cristina Casanas-Judd

What is the secret to a good life?

Love, Freedom and Vitamins.

What is the greatest invention of your lifetime?

Those handheld devices we carry with us everywhere, all the time, that will do anything we want…ie: your phone…could it actually be the worst invention?

Name one thing that people don’t know about you.

I despise clutter…do not leave anything out for more than a day or I will donate it, sell it or leave on the stoop for first grabs.

Cristina, known for her sick fashion sense and inspired design aesthetic, brings her native Chilean roots, keen sense of color, and superb management skills to every design project. She began her career as a Set Decorator for the TV show, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, which became a breakthrough pop culture hit. This led to more set decorating for TV and feature films including Adventureland, The Messenger, Winning Season, Then She Found Me, and many more. Cristina next channeled her skills into design permanent spaces, resulting in establishing Me and General Design in 2012. The company is the ultimate in creative fulfillment — offering constant challenges to raise the design bar and exceed client expectations. M&GD is Cristina’s third baby; she is the lead on day to day operations and all design decisions.

Cristina lives and works with her husband General in Brooklyn, New York. They have two beautiful daughters and a French bulldog named Paco.
