For anyone who remembers the old Williamsburg — before the high rises and suits moved in and it became the cool epicenter of the universe — the rooftops holding thousands of water towers gave this former industrial neighborhood its distinct look and edge. We were inspired to pay tribute to this historic characteristic by executing hand painted canvases and murals of these towers as a shout out to the artists who made the ‘Burg what it is. The 7-story boutique residential building program features studio, 1BR and 2BR units, a leasing center and model units, and an amenity package including lobby with attached café lounge, a sixth floor lounge with pool table and catering kitchen, and a rooftop terrace featuring M&GD signature pod seating. From the luxe design elements accentuated with pops of red as a nod to the building exterior, to our street inspired art, to the amenities designed for both entertaining and relaxing — this program captures new Williamsburg in a nutshell. And thus, it informed the evolution of this concept to its sister building down the street, 250N10, designed entirely by M&GD.
