MAYA MILLER

WHAT IS THE SECRET TO A GOOD LIFE?

Building and maintaining a strong character, defining and setting your beliefs, and accepting and loving those who disagree with you.

where have you been in the world that felt like paradise?

The Rocky Mountains. . . breath – taking views I would love to see again.

NAME TWO THINGS YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF TO BE VERY GOOD AT?

Designing, sewing cloths, and organizing – pretty much anything and everything I possibly can!

Maya – recently graduated from high school—is taking general required courses at Alamance Community College with the goal of transferring to a design school with an Associate in Arts degree. Although uncertain of her exact career path, Maya is interested in pursuing either historical costume design, architecture, or interior design—a career possibility inspired by Me and General Design. Interning under her “Tio General” and “Tia Cristina” is a dream-come- true for Maya as she works on condensing her varied interests into one major! A native North Carolinian, Maya currently lives with her parents, four siblings, and sixteen chickens in Durham, NC—one day she will live where there is plenty of cool weather and snow…maybe even in NYC!
