Founded in 2012, Me and General Design is a Brooklyn-based, fully integrated design + build studio specializing in architectural interior design. Founded by Cristina Casanas-Judd and General Judd, the studio believes that creative expression and lifestyles can be best embraced via the spaces that reflect them. With this credo in mind, Me and General Design projects seek to elevate the human spirit. 

The studio has completed work across numerous project typologies and scales, from high-end residential and hospitality to restoration and renovation, to private homes, custom millwork, and product designs. Most recently, this has expanded to include design + build and architectural services. Their diverse portfolio is a reflection of the studio’s vast capabilities, skills, and curiosity. 

Diverse backgrounds in the arts and business lend Cristina and General’s work a holistic, human-centered approach—Cristina is a former film set decorator while General performed as one of the iconic blue characters in Blue Man Group. Cristina graduated with a BFA in Fine Arts from the Art Institute of Boston and the School of Visual Arts. Growing up between Chile and Vermont, Cristina is a proud ‘Gringa-Chilena.’ General’s extensive film and TV work in the Carolina’s inform their collaborative approach and its versatile applications.
