NUESTRA collection is a highly personalized edit of upscale residential properties, reimagined for contemporary living by Me and General Design co-founders Cristina Casañas-Judd and General Judd. Sited on more than four secluded acres, the Berkshire House is minutes away from downtown Great Barrington, MA., in Berkshire County, about three hours from New York. The first of many homes within the NUESTRA collection, it is a historic stone-and-stucco farmhouse, built by one of the town’s early anchor masons. Sparsely furnished with unique hand-crafted pieces and original artwork from their pool of collaborators, the house encompasses everything Cristina and General look for in their projects—a chance to combine history, research and preservation with their thoughtful, contemporary design.

The home’s unique stonework will remain intact, as will its original stone water well and spectacular fireplace. A group of NUESTRA’s trusted tradesmen and collaborators are on call to take the renovation further as envisioned –– geometric slatwork and soaring windows accompanied by a backyard pool to embrace the outdoors. Me and General Design will recruit a wide array of trusted collaborators to realize a vibrant, welcoming interior for its future dweller. This forever home was designed with intention for all-year round use, a nature lovers haven for family and loved ones.
